Quality Rugs

We have a comprehensive range of rugs available in-store for every room of the house.  From tough runners to sit beside a front door to plush and soft rugs to sit at your bedside, DS Interiors has the most comprehensive range and you can pop in to see them.

But how do you choose the right rug?  Well, a lot of the decision comes from how heavy the traffic is in the room - in other words, how often people are walking through it.  Areas classed as high traffic are places like hallways, kitchens and living rooms.  Low traffic areas will be bedrooms, sometimes dining rooms or offices.

The higher traffic areas often need a tougher type of rug.  Runners are popular in hallways and near doors - these are longer, thinner rugs that can double as a doormat to capture those muddy footprints.

Rugs for living rooms tend to be somewhere in the middle.  You want something that feels nice underfoot and looks effective in the room but that is also a bit tougher than some luxury rugs.  Ease of cleaning is also important.

In bedrooms, you can go as soft and luxurious as you want although you may want something a little tougher in kid’s bedrooms.  The aim here is to keep your feet protected from cold floors when you get out of bed or to protect carpets or flooring in kids bedrooms.
