As a vinyl flooring supplier, one of the classic questions we are asked is whether this type of flooring is the right one for you.  Vinyl flooring has been around since the 1930s but has come a long way since then.  Let’s take a look at what makes it a great floor option for some parts of the house.

Vinyl flooring comes in a few different forms.  There’s resilient sheet vinyl which is the most common type and is printed with a design.  It also comes in a tile form where you get tiles that are applied with glue or adhesive.  The newer options is luxury vinyl tiles which is a thicker, semi-rigid variation that comes in tile or plank form.

With all types of vinyl flooring, installation is relatively simple and sometimes you can even do it yourself.  Once it is in place, it is easy to maintain and very durable with a good lifespan.  It is both water and stain resistant and feels comfortable underfoot if you walk around barefoot.

The different options are all budget friendly, with the luxury tiles being the most expensive option but still cheaper than flooring options such as stone.

Perhaps the main downside is that it can be tricky to repair if there is something that damages it.  But because it is easy to cut, sections can be removed and replaced as needed.
